A session (seisiún in Irish) is a gathering of musicians playing traditional tunes, often in a pub.
Sessions are super fun, but they can be intimidating for the uninitiated.

This class serves as an introduction to sessions: what to expect,  playing together, session etiquette, putting together sets, what tunes to play - but mostly it will be a slow session - we will play tunes at a slow, comfortable tempo, about half the speed (or even slower) than a traditional pub session.  If you only know a handful of tunes, this session is for you! We will play tunes we learned in class and other common tunes.  It is open to all instruments.  The tunes will be led by me with Ken Borgeson on guitar.

Afterwards you are invited to the Landmark Tavern down the street to experience an actual pub session.

Dates and time: Mondays July 1, July 8, July 15, July 22 6 - 7:30

Hope you can make it!
