Alasdair White is widely regarded as one of the leading exponents of Scottish fiddle music touring and teaching today. Alasdair comes from Lewis, one of the Gaelic speaking Outer Hebrides, an area of great, continued and singular importance to Gaelic language and culture Alasdair has been playing with the renowned Scottish institution, 'Battlefield Band' since 2001, joining when he was 18. Following many years of touring, performing, and recording, Alasdair is based in New York we are delighted to have him teaching this workshop.
